Donate a day of your creative juices to On Our Own, a local non-profit. Participants form several “agencies-for-a-day,” working with a variety of designers, copywriters, and developers to satisfy the beneficiary's brief.
On Our Own's mission is to provide free peer support, self-help, education, guidance, advocacy, and referral services for adults who have acknowledge that they have experienced significant problems in their lives due to challenges with mental health, substance use, or trauma.
Fuel up with caffeine and some breakfast bites before the work day officially kicks off.
Meet the client, learn about their work, and hear the details of what design needs they’re seeking.
Your chance to dig a little deeper and get any clarification on the non-profit’s prompt.
Get started with your team. After a while, you will have a short meeting with the non-profit to gauge whether you are on the right track.
Take a break and re-energize with delicious local fare.
Another round of work, with a quick feedback session with the non-profit. Finalize and prepare your presentation for the showcase!
